We found this canoe in late fall of 2018 on the river bank by our home. We decided to keep it over the winter since there was already ice forming on the Red River. Due to the flooding in the Oslo, MN area this spring, we have not been able to get close enough to the river bank safely to launch it yet. The river is still pretty high and there is quite a bit of mud on the banks. However, we do anticipate that we should be able to launch it in the next week or two. What a great project this is. It was fun to find a treasure on the banks of the Red River. I hope it goes far and receives the best of care!
