Once upon a time on a warm sunny day an 11 year old girl named Nia got a wooden canoe from her teacher . She named it Navy colored it then launched it in the Tongue River west of Cavalier . She launched it with a school of minnows . While the canoe was floating down the Tongue River it got stuck and a little boy . it up . He wanted to keep it but his dad said no So the little boy put it back . It kept floating and made it to the Pembina River . It kept on floating and saw some yellow perch . It also smelled of some aspen trees . A few days later the winds started to pick up and it flung the canoe for a while . Then it started to rain and the canoe got stuck between two bur oak trees . As soon as the storm stopped a bald eagle swooped down and grabbed Navy flew for a while and there it dropped it in the Red River . Once it dropped the canoe the canoe could hear a brown bear . See a brown bear . He was coming closer and closer . Chomp Fhew the bear missed . That was a close one I almost ended my journey . At lastNavy made it to Lake Winnipeg . She could smell the food and the treats . She could hear the cars and birds . But my journey wasnt over . I have to make it to Hudson bay . Its taking so long to get past Lake Winnipeg But I was not that bad. I saw lots of animals like a beaver river otter walleye and fox squirrel . The destination Navy made it to Hudson Bay But She wanted to go farther I'm not stopping now she thought . I want to keep going . She saw a turtle While floating in the Atlantic Ocean . The canoe kept floating until it got to the Pacific Ocean . A few weeks later Navy made it to the Pacific Ocean and saw a pack of dolphins . Navy kept floating for a while . She fell asleep and when she woke up she was hitting the sand . She was startled but excited to see land . She saw a sign . It said welcome to to Maui Hawaii .
