On a calmcool day a young girl and her canoe named Sandy were on their way to the Tongue River in Icelandic State Park . Today the Tongue River was calm and quiet the perfect day to launch a canoe. When they got to the edge of the river the young girl said goodbye to Sandy and launched her into the river. The first town Sandy got was Akra. Right away Sandy noticed something moving in the water. Sandy wondered if she should be paddling away. Then out jumped a little toad. Nothing to worry about. When Sandy got to Cavalier the sun was already setting Sandy tried not to fall asleep but did half way past Cavalier. The last thing she saw was two kids pointing at her so excited to see something new. When Sandy woke up she realized she had slept halfway through Pembina. Sandy also realized she was on the Pembina River She was excited to see cars going over top on a bridge. On the way to Emerson Sandy thought of all the animals she had seen. The first one she saw was a toad back in Akra but her favorites were the wild turkeys and the beavers she saw and the one she saw at night the screech owl. When Sandy looked up she realized she was almost to the end of the Red River She had properly missed a bunch of cool stuff. Little did Sandy know people had taken a bunch of pictures with her and written their name on the bottom of the canoe. By the time Sandy got to Winnipeg she was asleep and when she woke up she met another canoe named Pearl. After they got through Lake Winnipeg they decided to finish their journey together. Then a couple of hours later they saw the Atlantic Ocean. They got to Hudson Bay and were so excited to get to the ocean they paddled all the way there. All they wished they could do now is to see the look on their owners faces.
