My canoe will make it all the way to Hudson Bay. I hope it sees beavers and meets fishermen. Along the way my canoes journey will be unforgettable.
At first Paddle sits quietly on top of the thick sticky mud of the dried up river bed. Surrounded by dark green slimy seaweed. As he sat there in the shallow waters waiting for the pond to overflow to start his journey Canada Geese gracefully flying over him as they returned from their long migration home. Doe and fawn coming to take a drink out of his little pond after galloping through the tall trees. Little minnows swim to the surface nibbling at Paddles canoe.
Finally all of the snow has melted and Paddle is on his journey. He is floating gracefully across the stream dogging everything in his path and jumping all of the little minnie waterfalls. All of a sudden Paddle started to lift out of the water. He got picked up by a bird He was now flying through trees and could see the little stream he was following. Then he was falling. The bird had dropped him. He landed in the water with a big splash and he was back in the water again. Now Paddle was slowly floating down the little stream. Then he ran into a bunch of logs and got wedged in between two logs and Paddle was going up a ramp and was going to get cut up into pieces but then it stopped and a lumber jack picked him up and saved him. The lumber jack took him home and was going to put him back in the spring because it was almost winter and the water was going to freeze.
It was now spring and the lumber jack took him to the beach of Lake Winnipeg to put back Paddle. After he released him Paddle was back on his journey. On his journey to Hudson Bay he got caught in some storms and almost got ran over by cargo ships. It was a long and dangerous journey. Then all of the sudden he saw a whale and got bumped by a seal and that is when he knew that he had made it to Hudson Bay and that his journey was done.
