My canoe will make it all the way to the Atlantic Ocean. I hope it sees a beaver dam and meets a great big moose with giant antlers. Along the way my canoes journey will be unforgettable. At first Paddle sits quietly on top of the thick sticky mud of the dried up river bed. All around him were the hungry animals feasting on the little bit of grass sticking out through the snow. That was the only thing Paddle could see because all around him were cattails. He was like a boy lost in the woods. Then he saw a formation of Canadian geese overhead then he lost sight and could only hear a faint sound of the geese. Squawk squawk squawk. After a few hours a big storm started to form and the rain came down hard. It only rained for 20 minutes but it was just enough to get him moving. Paddle slowly moved down the river seeing tons of birds eating the worms that were peeking out of the ground. But then a giant pelican scooped him up in his bill and brought him about 60 miles away from the Atlantic ocean. Then Paddle saw a giant moose just chilling in the shallow water. It came up to Paddle and gave him a little nug with his humongous antlers. After a few hours of drifting he was stuck in a beaver dam. When the beaver came back he was not happy. The beaver then smacks him with its tail and he is back on the move. It was late fall and getting colder quickly. Within a week he was frozen into the ice. Then one day a little boy and his dad were ice fishing and they saw the little boat. The little boy wanted the boat so his dad got it for him. Then the dad looked at it and saw it said I'm Paddle to the sea. Help me get to the Atlantic Ocean. So they did. They took him home for the winter. The little boy took Paddle everywhere with him. In the spring the little boy said goodbye and he was off. It was smooth sailing from there until he hit the rapids in the river. Paddle to the sea felt like he was going so fast until he got beached. Then a high tide pulled him into the water. By summer Paddle to the sea saw the Atlantic ocean.
