It is spring of 2025. The weather is cold but not too cold. Me and Buddy are at the Nature Center in Fertile MN. The river we are going to be in is the Sandhill River. I have a lot of bright colors on me. I hope to make it to the Hudson Bay but if I get lucky I will land in the Atlantic ocean. My name is Sugar and right now I am floating down the Sand Hill River. There are many trees around me. I feel the wind pushing me in the water. I was moving very slow. I see a small farm and it has four bins and a big dog. The dog has a small bone in its mouth. Oh no it just started to rain Soon it will be raining hard. It is getting colder. I said to my buddy. Wow I am a tiny boat and Climax is huge. I passed by a few farms. Now there is the big Red River in front of me. The water is still cold and I am hitting a lot of curves. I am now in the Red River. Finally I yell out to my buddy. Which way should we go I whispered to my friend. The water is dirty. Yuck There are a lot of trees around the river. I see a few fish under me and birds flying up above me. The water is now cold rocky bumpy slow and dirty. I see a few turtle heads here and there. I see two bears fighting. It is scary. One of them is a black bear the other one was a little bit bigger and more brown. Quick Scream lets get out of here The next day I lost my buddy. It is dark and I can not see my buddy so I have to do it by myself now. I get stuck between two big rocks. Now we are in Grand Forks and I am going under a really big bridge. Not many farms this time around. A water movement is up ahead. I am trying to get up. Woohoo I scream. I am going under After a few minutes I got through it safely. Oof That was hard. My color is sort of fading away. There is another bridge I am going under. Too many bridges I see another river in my path. No more fooling around. We need to make it It is a little scary but I really want to make it to at least the Hudson Bay I shouted I am not happy at all I see the border of Canada Ew disgusting I think I just saw a dead fish. I am so excited to get to Hudson Bay. I see a little girl on a wooden swing. Now she is coming to me and she just picks me up. She is running with me against her chest and I can hear her heartbeat. Owshe drops me on a big gray rock. I think I gave her a little sliver on the thumb because she is sucking her thumb now I made it to Winnipeg and then lake Winnipeg. Winnipeg is hug Bigger than where I started. It took more than two weeks to get through Winnipeg. I am going under a bridge. I almost got off it but that was scary. I just saw Shrek I see an island named Sugar. Just like my name The river was brown but now it is green. I am in Lake Winnipeg flowing down the Nelson River. Here I come there is a black island where a deer is standing. That is a lot of islands. There are many streams around me. Oh my gosh I see Hudson Bay. The river is really deep here. I am so close I can almost taste the salt water. I made it I am traveling through the Hudson Bay The water is cold and clear. The Atlantic Ocean is right ahead of me Thanks for joining me on my journey to the sea.
