Hi my name is Billy. Its spring of 2025. My plan is to make it to the Atlantic Ocean. My friends who are coming with me are Jimmy and the Black Pearl or for short the Pearl. We are starting our journey at the Sand Hill River in Fertile MN. I cant wait to go on our crazy journey Our journey started rough when we got dropped into the water. It hurts Jimmy and the Pearl said ouch too. We saw the kids who dropped us off the deck watching us float away. We saw trees grass and fish. But then Jimmy flipped over It was shallow so he did not sink. The Black Pearl flipped him back over so he was fine. Almost two hours later we saw people on kayaks. The Black Pearl got picked up by a girl. Jimmy and I are sad. We were worried that we would never see him again. But we kept going. We went through a rapid where we went so fast that we crashed into a log But we were ok. Then we saw the girl who picked up the Black Pearl We yelled Hey Black Pearl Black Pearl said l was stuck in the branches because the girl who picked me up threw me in there. Oh okay we said. Next we got him out. Then Jimmy said We were worried that we would never see you again But we kept going. We went past a bridge with a truck driving over. A couple weeks later we saw another rapid. We spun and spun until we got past the rapid. We saw kids on 4 wheelers on a trail. Then we went through five rapids. We were damaged a lot. But we saw a sign that said Welcome to Beltrami When we got to Beltrami we went past a farm. In three weeks it was summer and after three days we saw millions of fields and many trees. A car went so fast across the gravel road it was so dusty that we could not see. The dust cleared in 30 seconds thankfully. We went into the woods and we saw a snapping turtle. It was mad and bit Jimmy. Me and the pearl were worried but he was ok. So we kept going. Jimmy said What season is it I said It is summer but almost fall. Then we heard a BOOM The Black Pearl said What was that Then I saw it. It was a fallen tree The Black Pearl said Oh no what are we going to do Then Jimmy said Womp womp Then I came up with the best idea in the world. Lets go under I said. Yeah let's go under Jimmy said. We made it. Now lets keep going the Black Pearl said. Two weeks later. Were at Climax Yes. Lets go Its winter now. But it has not snowed Were sad but we kept going. Then we went under a bridge when a truck crashed into the bridge We were scared but we kept going. One month later. Hey its December and we made it to the Red River. Lets go said Jimmy. Then I said Wheres Black Pearl Oh no we lost him Said jimmy. We were sad but we kept going. One week later its almost January. We saw deer but then I realized that they were getting chased by coyotes AHHH Jimmy yelled Lets go Its been two weeks and we are in the month of January. Its been almost one year of going down the river and theres no sign of the Black Pearl yet. Hey it's a bridge. Oh no wait we are stuck in the sand Should we wait it out I said. One day laterHey the water rose and we can keep going. Two more weeks and it is now February and we are passing through Grand Forks We are at the Grand Forks bridge And then we saw the Black Pearl He was being thrown in the water Hey Black Pearl Hi guys he said. A girl took me when I went to get a baseball he explained. I asked Why did you want the baseball Because I have a baseball painted on me. He replied. Two months later. We have seen so many fields bears deer fish otters logs and trees. Hey its only one month until our one year mark Were in Oslo and were going under a train bridge. Yeah its nice said the pearl. No What said the Pearl. There are three eagles above us Ahhhh We yelled as we got picked up. Where will they drop us off at Jimmy asked. I dont know. I hope they will drop us off in Canada. I said. Yeah me too. Said Jimmy and the Pearl. One week later. Hey look it's Canada Wait they dropped us off Ahhh were falling Ouch That hurt I said. Yeah At least we got dropped off in the water though. And were past the Canada and USA border the Black Pearl said. Yeah. Weve been on the river for ONE whole year I said. Yeah lets keep going but wait theres kids...Oh no they will maybe pick us up Now were in their car. I hope they will bring us to Winnipeg Said Jimmy. Four hours laterHey wait why is the window open Oh no theyre gonna throw us out Ouch that hurt At least we made it to lake Winnipeg Were two weeks in and were at Taylor Island. Hey Billy I want to get to the Nelson River faster said Jimmy. Then speed up I said. One month later. Were at the Nelson river Now the next stop is Hudson Bay. Hey its a beaver. Wait it's coming for you Black Pearl Aahhh And now the Black Pearl is gone Hes cut in half even..I guess we will now we have to go without him. Two months later its July 4th. Happy Birthday America I said. Its even better because we are at Hudson Bay Woah I see the Black Pearl and hes all put together with tape I wonder if his owner helped him out Yes sir Said the Black Pearl. Two weeks later. Hey guys were almost to the Atlantic Ocean maybe one hour until we make it there One hour laterHey guys were at the Atlantic Ocean Yeah lets go said Jimmy. Lets go said the Black Pearl. Well that's our journey it was hard but we made it
