Splash Into the water I go. I thought going into the water all together with 13 other people would be a catastrophe but no I landed perfectly upright in the water. We started at the Sandhill River in Fertile MN. When I was about to start my journey a river otter took me I looked around for help. Then I saw my friend Fiona being taken by a dog. The otter soon put me in the water next to Fiona where the dog dropped her. She was covered in slobber. Then me and Fiona floated next to each other as we continued our journey. We got to Beltrami. It was summer. It was so hot out. I even saw heat waves. I looked around and saw a huge pine tree. I squinted at the tree and saw an Eagle over us. Fiona didnt see it. She was too busy looking at something else. It was so hot until I heard rustling. I looked around and saw the leaves starting to move fast. The wind It blew hard and pushed me all the way into Climax Then we continued our journey. We got to Climax. The river was smooth and steady. And then suddenlyit was dark. I looked up and saw I was under a bridge. After about a minute the light came back. I thought we were still in Climax but it was actually us going under a Grand Forks bridge We were on the Red River It is fall now. The trees were orange brown and red. There were buildings all around us. Moving slow and steady as we continued our journey. We were on the Red River but soon passed through Canada and made our way all the way to Lake Winnipeg. It was cold out freezing actually. Me and Fiona were still together side by side. We were both damaged with scrapes from rocks. Then suddenly something hit my nose. It was snowing It fell down one by one. It is winter now We were on the Nelson River now. Its still winter and we're just sliding on the ice. The bottom of my canoe was freezing and I felt so cold. All the leaves on the trees are gone. I was so bored until a deer ran out of the woods and onto the ice The ice started cracking. The dear left and we slid on the ice and over the cracks. Scared that we were going to fall in the cold water. Were almost to Hudson Bay We got to Hudson Bay. It was almost spring. The snow was melting there was no more ice and there were a few green leaves. I was just looking around until Someone picked me up I was so scared. I was separated from Fiona. The person spun me around and looked at me in the eyes. Hey dad can I keep this Said the girl uhhhhhhhh sure her dad said yay Oh noshe didnt see the bottom of my boat She took me to her room and set me on her shelf next to the window. It was a really windy night and to my surprise the wind pushed me out the window and into the water. I was safe but that was painful. I was just floating around now partnerless and almost to the Atlantic Ocean. I was all chipped and scraped. I saw fish frogs and dragonflies. It is summer now. My hot tired overwhelmed body is still paddling to the sea. All my adventures are spiraling in my mind. And then after months of travel and many thoughts laterI made it to the Atlantic Ocean
