My canoe's name is Mapleoak31. I have many hopes and dreams for my canoe once I launch it. I hope to make it to Hudson Bay. When I launch her into the Red River from Fargo I will enjoy the beautiful smell of fresh apples on a tree in May of 2025. I hope my canoe can pass Oak Groves football field because the trees are always so pretty in the springtime. Mapleoak31 and I walk to the bridge next to the Red River. I drop Mapleoak31 into the Red River and I watch as Mapleoak31 drifts by Moorhead. As Mapleoak31 sails through the river she gets captured by a duck with a collar that says Grand Forks. I thought that was where the city was. While she is riding with the duck Mapleoak31 sees a lot of fish in the river like catfish bass and a carp. Mapleoak31 is shocked to see a fox but scared to see a black bear eating it Mapleoak31 smells something very stinky. Mapleoak31 sees a lot of sugar beets. The maple and oak trees are very beautiful and that is how Mapleoak31 gets her name. Suddenly Mapleoak31 and the duck are up in the air and they are being carried by a hawk flying through the air. After what feels like hours Mapleoak31 and the duck get dropped off in the hawks nest. A robin starts shaking the nest and the nest falls to the ground. It is a hard drop to the ground and a wolf scares the robin away. The wolf picks Mapleoak31 up and starts running. By this time she already passes Walsh County and is now close to Pembina. Then the wolf passes by Emerson Manitoba Canada before he drops Mapleoak31 in Lake Winnipeg and Mapleoak31 floats into Hudson Bay. Mapleoak31 is happy to see Hudson Bay. The Lake Winnipeg area is breathtaking. It has a lot of different animals like squirrels and more. Surprisingly a giant whale comes up and swallows her Mapleoak31 is in the whale's mouth for a long time but Mapleoak31 is getting along quickly. Suddenly the whale spat out and Mapleoak31 made its way back to Hudson Bay from the whales belly. It is very exciting and beautiful. Now Mapleoak31 will live happily ever after in Hudson Bay near the Nelson River.
