Canoe Trip -
My canoe will start out on the Red River in Crookston, MN and end up in Hudson Bay Canada which it will follow the Polk Watershed. I will release my canoe Thursday afternoon May 24, 2018. It will have to endure the weather and whatever Mother Nature throws at it. The Red River has many twist and turns. Red River will enter the mouth of Lake Winnipeg some 162 miles from where it started. On my canoes journey to Lake Winnipeg fish will think that the canoe is something to eat and try to eat it. A frog tried to catch a ride on the canoe but fell off because he lost his balance. A little boy saw the canoe and played with it until his dad told him to put the canoe back in the water so the canoe can go on its journey. On Lake Winnipeg the canoe floats by many boats but the canoe is so small it goes unnoticed. From Lake Winnipeg it will head north to Hudson Bay some 400 miles. The canoe will make it to Warren landing to have many people read me and toss the canoe back into the lake. On my canoes journey to Playgreen Lake a beaver catches it but the canoe doesnՉt look like something he can use in his dam. IՉm pretty beat up from all the harsh weather and animals playing and taste it thinking the canoe is food. Cross Lake has lots of deer that are wondering what the canoe is but leave the canoe alone. The canoe will have to figure out how to make it to Nelson River so it can finish its journey to Hudson Bay. A bear thinks the canoe is a fish and tries to eat it but ends up tossing it back. The canoe will finally reach the mouth of the Hudson Bay. The canoe has had many memorable moments along the Polk Watershed.
