BobՉ€™s Canoe Trip - My canoe was launched here in Crookston, Minnesota at the Red Lake River. My canoe is called Bob. When we launched Bob into the Red Lake River I set him into the cool refreshing water and down he traveled through the river. A couple days later he made it to Fisher, Minnesota. When Bob arrived in Fisher he got stuck in some rocks, he felt butterflies in his stomach because he would not be able to get out and go to Hudson Bay, but somehow he was in luck when a guy named Jeff found him and picked him up and put him in his car. Jeff drove Bob to East Grand Forks. He let Bob go back into the Red Lake River. Bob tasted some water and it tasted like dirt, weird. A few days later he finally reached Grand Forks where the Red Lake River flows into the Red River. He saw a lot of cars driving and heard a very unusual noise. He looked down and saw something big and fat. He tried to float away from it, but he flipped over and ended up upside down. He saw a big catfish swarming around him. Somehow Bob came right side up again and the catfish swam away. Then on week six, Bob arrived at the United States/Canadian Border. It was beautiful. Bob saw a lot of flowers, butterflies and lots of people walking along the shore. People saw him and pointed at Bob. He heard a lot of talking. Then a big wave came, it scared Bob because Bob thought the current was going to be strong and he would go in a different direction, but the current pushed Bob toward Winnipeg. After about ten weeks, Bob finally reached Winnipeg. The Red River flows into Lake Winnipeg. While Bob was in the Lake Winnipeg he heard a loud FLAPPING sound and saw a big eagle with a small mouse in his claws. Bob got really scared and didn't know what to do. The eagle was very big and it started to come down to attack because he thought Bob was a tasty fish. The eagle tried to pick Bob up but he got away somehow and the eagle dropped the mouse in the water and a Northern Pike ate the mouse. The eagle flew away with his wings flapping. Now Bob hoped to reach Hudson Bay and safely. After about fifteen weeks Bob reached the Nelson River because Lake Winnipeg flows into the Nelson River. Bob was going down the Nelson river then he stopped in front of a polar bear. It was so big and fat, Bob had no clue what he was going to do. The big polar bear did a big ROAR!!! and that moved Bob away. Bob floated slowly into Hudson Bay. Bob got stuck in a iceberg and sadly Bob was never able to get out.
