My Long Journey
I am launched in the Sand Hill River on my trip to sea in 2019.
I see a bunch of fish, such as pike, walleye, bass, and sunnies.
I go downstream and see a moose and her calf drinking water.
Right beside me I hear a duck quacking.
I just reached the Red River rapids.
I hit seven rocks and landed in a forest.
I touched a flower and smelled it too.
The flower was a lady slipper.
I saw a bunch of animals.
I saw a family of squirrels scurrying along
and a girl and her grandma.
The girl wanted to keep me,
but her grandma read, ՉPut me back in the river-I want to continue my voyage to sea.Չ
The grandma put me back in the river.
The river was as pleasantly calm
as a turtle bathing upside down!!!!!!!!
It's fall now and on land
I see squirrels dashing along holding acorns.
I just reached the outlet of the Red River
that brought me to Lake Winnipeg.
It was as large as a whale.
I see bees buzzing past me like a ship on full speed.
I am on the Nelson River.
I reach Hudson Bay.
I hope you reach the ocean too.
