Paddle to the Sea
I want to see the Great Lakes and meet new pals.
I am Paddle to the Sea.
I might have a scare of a bear,
or a delight to some mice,
that wave and squeal,
on a fallen tree.
The song of the birds
in the trees they might sing,
in the night with delight,
or in the day
and you donՉt need to pay.
Or the fish that splash
in a dash,
and slip and slide
with some pride.
I might see a boy swimming
in the river and I might yell,
move over,
I am on the trip of my life!
And I might see one of my friends go by in a race.
They might make it into a race,
and I will race them to the end.
Someone might find them
as we race,
or they might crash
into the sand on the bay.
But I will do my best
and try to beat them to the end,
if there is a end?
Or, I might be found
first like good game
of hide and seek.
It might be fun,
or I might need to run.
But all I know is that
IՉm Paddle to the Sea.
