Paddle to the Sea
IՉm paddle to the sea,
I will see winter, and bears just getting ready to hibernate.
I will be dashing across the ice of the magnificent Sandhill River.
I will see wolves getting ready to hunt the beautiful whitetail deer.
The ice has melted out.
I will see fish like catfish, bullheads, walleye, crappies, sunfish, smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, northern pike, muskie, perch, carp, sturgeon, and trout.
I now see Kittleson Creek,
A moose and itՉs calf drink from the water as I sail across the extravagant water.
I hear loons singing there sad song as I race across the shimmering water like a ՉՉՉsailfish.
I make it to the Red River,
I hope a fisherman catches me on his hook and thinks IՉm a huge catfish, and reels me in but then lets me go.
I now make it to Lake Winnipeg,
I hope I see lots of eagles.
A catfish thinks IՉm a dead fish and tries to eat me, but spits me out.
I make it, I make it to Hudson Bay I see big seals a polar bears!
