Far Away 19RD0728 My canoe started at the Red Lake River in Crookston, MN. It traveled north through East Grand Forks then came across some ice. The Ice had to melt until the canoe could float north again. Then it was able to go into Grand Forks, ND. From Grand Forks, ND it headed into Canada. A little boy and his father found the canoe floating by our boat. The little boy picked it up and dad suggested that we take it across Lake Winnipeg to Playgreen Lake so it has a chance to get to Hudson Bay. It floated through Playgreen Lake to get to Nelson River. It has 400 miles to go to get to Hudson Bay. A wolf came across my canoe along the bank of the river. He thought it was a fish. He quickly found out it was a piece of wood. The wolf scratch it up pretty bad. He dropped it back into the water. From there is floated down the river till a hiker found it. He saw how bad it was so he took it to his cabin to repair it. He had it for a few days to let the paint dry. He took it down to the river to release it. It finally reach the Hudson Bay.
