I was launched Thursday, May 23, 2019. I was thrown into the water in Central Park in Crookston, Minnesota. And I was off in the Red Lake River. The water was very cold and wet. I met some friends on the way. I met a little fish that swam next to me for awhile but then he swam back to his family to go eat. It became very boring floating all alone. I thought I saw a city, but I didn't. It was just some rock on a hill. Then in a flash, I got stuck on a rock by a violent wave.
I sat there for three weeks, watching cars go by, finally I got the courage to yell, ՉHelp!Չ Of course nobody came. It started to rain so the water rose up and I was floating again. I came upon a town named Fisher, Minnesota. I said a quick hello and kept on moving. I did not have much time to chat.
After about two months, in July, I reached East Grand Forks, Minnesota and I was met with another river the Red River. Where two rivers come together is called a confluence and wow that was scary! I was hit by waves and tossed and turned on all directions.
I finally reached Pembina, North Dakota. It has been four
months, and IՉm still flowing north. Suddenly, I see a animal, it is gray and big. It's a huge gray wolf and ouch, he picks me up by its teeth and takes me away. I run with the pack for a long time and I became part of the family then they lose me right by the Red River next to the Canadian border.
It is now December and I am stuck in a block of ice. I am freezing and can't move.
In March, I start to unfreeze and start back on my route. I really don't see much but then a I realize I am in Canada. I flow along the Red River going north.
I just entered Winnipeg. It is a big city. As I travel north on my journey, I get slightly chilled. The river is winding left, right, left, right, turning in all directions but I keep going.
Fifteen days later, I leave the Red River and float into Lake Winnipeg. I float around and I get stuck on an Island. IՉm sitting there on the sand all alone. Many hours pass then a storm and a wave appear and I am free again on my path.
Sixteen days later, it is April, and I can see a new river, itՉs the Nelson River. I know this because I know that Lake Winnipeg is connected to the Nelson River.
I am just slowly getting there when waves start getting bigger and I go up, down and left, right. It was horrifying, but I am back on my journey.
Two weeks later, I get washed up at Nelson Port and remain there for a very long time.
One year later, I get hit by a big wave from a storm. Թ—Free, free, I am free! Yippee.Թ— I flow through the cold water very fast.
Three days later, I reach Hudson Bay. It is very big and blue. I see polar bears and and other cool creatures.
Two years later, I reach the Labrador Sea and into the
ocean I paddled.
Four years later, I reached Portugal (Europe) and now I reside there t for the rest of my life.
