This is my journey and how I got to Hudson Bay. The name of my canoe is Leonard because it is an English and Dutch name meaning brave lion. It started in the Red River in Grand Forks and ended up in the Hudson Bay. My canoe encountered many different animals. A few of them were deer, bunny, beaver, and duck. My canoe had 2 challenges it had to overcome on its journey to Hudson Bay. One of the challenges was that there was a beaver dam straight ahead and there was no other way of my canoe getting through. A deer was near and saw that I was going to get stuck. It used its instincts and pushed the logs apart, and I was set free and back on my way to Hudson Bay. Another challenge was in Lake Winnipeg. A boat was heading straight for my canoe, and Leonard, didnՉt have another way to move. Way before it was coming after Leonard, it was going in circles and its waves were coming from the right of it. The waves hit my canoe just in time right before it was about to get it. After that he didnՉt have any scares and it was a safe ride to Hudson Bay. My canoe experienced many things that I even havenՉt seen or been to. It got to see beavers and what their habitat looks like. It got to go on Lake Winnipeg which almost ended up in a disaster but thankfully it didnՉt. But the coolest of all is that it got to Hudson Bay and just going out and the first wave of Hudson Bay is really cool. My canoe traveled a total of 1,000 miles in about 2 Թզ years.
