My canoeՉs name is Birch, and on my canoeՉs journey I think it will start out steadily going north on the Red River in Grand Forks. ItՉs heading north steadily and slowly and after about two weeks it makes it to Oslo, Minnesota. After about two miles outside of Oslo, Birch gets stuck in a beaver dam. Birch sits there for a week before a strong current during a storm pushes him off of the beaverՉs home. About three weeks later, Birch is about 4 miles outside of Drayton, North Dakota, he is pushed by the current over towards the side of the river, and as he gets there a field mouse is scampering towards the water while being chased by a hawk. It jumps into the water as the hawk speeds into the water splashing Birch, giving him a boost and sending speeding up to Drayton. Then for another month and a half it sailed to Morris, Canada and got lodged in some mud and freezes there over winter.
