My canoe, named Free Spirit is going on an adventure down the Red River starting by Grand Forks. It is on its way to Lake Winnipeg. Along the way, Free Spirit encounters a deer, a bear and a frog. The deer is eating grass along the riverՉs edge, when the canoe comes along, it looks up at the canoe but pays no attention to it and goes on eating. The canoe is travelling along when it gets stuck in some weeds, it stays there for a few days floating, when a bear comes out of the woods to get a drink and finds the canoe stuck and claws at it and pushes it along. The canoe comes to a waterfall and gets pushed over and gets stuck between two rocks, luckily the water current uses enough force to free the little canoe to carry on its way. The canoe picks up pace for a few days and moves towards the banks edge where a frog jumps on it and thinks its a lily pad and takes a rest for a few hours, which slows down the trip. Finally Free Spirit is freed to continue its 250 mile journey, which took a years time until it reaches Lake Winnipeg, A group of campers find the canoe and were surprised to see how far this canoe had travelled.
