I am dropped into the river and my journey begins.
I drift past a log and smell spring.
Next thing I know I am stuck on a large rock.
I feel scared and lonely as I watch the other canoes zip by.
Then all of a sudden a strange man lifts me up and puts me back in the river.
As my journey continues I see many deer.
And squirrels munching on acorns come near.
I watch silently as one of the other canoes gets pulled out of the water by another creature.
I soon realize it is a small child.
The girl runs off.
I hear her shrieking, ՉLook! Look! Look!Չ
Then I see a peeking groundhog on the bank.
The sun sets and the moon appears.
It's a beautiful night.
I watch the birds flight.
It is a very long night.
I hit a branch and flip into the icy cold waters of Fargo-Moorhead.
Ahead I see the sun slowly rise into the eastern sky.
I taste the salty water as it splashes on me.
After many suns and moons I arrive at the Red River Headwaters.
There is a crisp smell outside.
I watch a porcupine go by with berries in its mouth.
My journey will continue and I hope I will paddle to the sea.
