Oh how scared I am as the girl
drops me in the water and lets me float away.
I am going up North as fast as a
Cheetah, then I see a bear
And try to get away as
Fast as possible.
As soon as I get
Up to the Red River someone
Picks me up, brings me inside
And goes online.
They put me back into the water
When they are done. Then I see
Fish jumping up and down. I can taste fresh
Water from the river. I can tell
It is spring
From the fresh smell of the air.
I wash up on shore
And can hear the
Sound of kids. I can feel
The wind brushing up against
Me. The air is warm so I know it is summer.
I float up to Lake Winnipeg.
I can smell a skunk that just
Sprayed.
I can see kids swimming.
The leaves start to fall, it is about to turn autumn.
Autumn is going by as slow as a sloth.
Soon I am drenched from
The waves that come from nowhere.
As it is winter I can see dead trees,
I can hear dogs and cats.
The plants are dying.
The snow is starting
To melt.
It is a token that it is almost
Spring. I reach the Nelson
River, and can hear coyotes howl.
The weather is getting warmer.
It has been more than a year now.
I am farther up North from where I started,
I am at Hudson Bay.
I see beavers building beaver dams,
Squirrels running like they are in a race,
I can see deer running in the tall grass.
I can hear geese swooping down
In the river.
As summer and spring zoom by,
I can tell it is autumn,
From the crisp smell in the air.
I soon start to realize
I am in the ocean because
All I can see is the fading water.
Now I made my journey
And don't worry, soon, so will you.
