I was launched into the Red River, beginning my journey on a brisk February day. The journey on the open water was short lasting, as I made me way past the riffle into the ice covered stretch of the river. I spent the next several weeks locked in the ice of Fargo until finally, I was free. As the ice broke, my speed increased, then the water rose and rose and I moved faster and faster. I was flying. After a few weeks, my flying slowed and as the months passed, the waters lowered and the temps grew colder. Then the ice returned, but this time, I was frozen in the waters of Manitoba. The next spring brought a similar adventure, flying me further to the north. As the years passed, so did the miles I flew by. Until finally, finally, I was free in the bay, Hudson Bay.
