My canoe will see golden leaves fall softly from the trees. My canoe will swim with beavers, moose, and river otters as they prepare for a long cold winter. My canoe will feel the freezing waters as the temperatures fall below zero. My canoe may get stuck in the ice, but not for long. My canoe will smell the warmth of spring as it is freed once again to zigzag its way to Lake Winnipeg. I hope my canoe will one day get to see the shores of Hudson Bay as it completes its journey to the open ocean, one season at a time.
