Canoe 20RD1407

My dream for my canoe Queen, is to make it to Winnipeg Lake, and maybe to Hudson Bay! We will sail through the ClearWater River first. Then over to Red Lake River. Next of course is the Red River! We will go through big cities like Fargo, and Grand Forks. Queen will see lots of animals like foxes, wolves, bears, and much more. The reason why I want her to see lots of animals is because I love animals! And she loves them to. Bright blue skies and starry nights will calm her. She will be happy on this adventure. However, on the first night she will be scared, lonely, and quiet. SheՉ€™ll stay up late, wishing she was safe. For above the cold spring water, there were big dark clouds. A thunderstorm! She thought, the rain would start pouring down quickly. CRASH! Lighting strikes! The river gets wild, animals hide for cover! Queen rushes upstream. In the morning at Fargo, sheՉ€™s egghausted from the night before. She continues to go upstream until she gets stuck on a beaver dam. She sits and sits until someone comes and spots her, a family nicely sets her free into the river. She continues to wander. The next night is much calmer than the first, throughout the night Queen made her way up to Winnipeg Lake. The water was kind of cold and dirty, but she didnՉ€™t mind. The lake was nice and calm, with small winds. After that she continued on her gurney to Hudson Bay! Is this it? Did I really make it here? Չ€œQueenՉ€ whispered the wind she waddled around hello? Is anyone there? She would think to herself. Չ€œYou have made it QueenՉ€ whistled the wind, Չ€œYou have made it where you belong.Չ€

View Jun 5, 2021 Peggy Arlaud A group of 6 of us avid kayakers found 31 little canoes on our first trip of the summer down the Clearwater River! We had fun searching for them! We dropped them back into the water at the Johnson Bridge on 249th Ave.
