Seasons to the Sea
My canoeՉs journey begins at the Turtle River in North Dakota. The canoe (the canoeՉs name is Seasons) is hoping to meet some rocks, a bear, and humans. Seasons wants to make it to Lake Erie and have an exciting adventure. He wants to end his journey by going out with a bang.
Seasons starts out flowing with the Turtle River and reaches the small, but intimating waterfall. Seasons went down the waterfall and splashed back into the water. He was having the time of his life. Seasons was floating and was very relaxed and cheerful. He was thinking of his family back home and was starting to miss them. He started to tear up then thought to himself, ՉMy family would have wanted the best for me.Չ
Seasons accidentally ended up getting stuck in a large patch of rocks close to the shoreline. He was wiggling and thrashing in the water for about an hour. Seasons was running out of energy to keep trying to get set free, so he took a short break. He continued to wiggle and thrash for around four hours. At this point he was getting so exhausted he could barely move or breath.
After wiggling and thrashing he eventually got set free from the rocks. ՉIՉm so grateful to be set free!Չ Seasons exclaimed. He made it one mile before a bear picked him up and, started playing with him. The bear started to toss and chew him that badly messes up his paint. Soon, after that the bear accidentally dropped Seasons into Lake Superior, he found himself relaxed again. He was thankful for the bear's mistake.
Now Seasons has made it to Lake Huron after weeks, and months of traveling. He meets a speedboat when he almost gets stuck in the propellers. Seasons was not careful, so he got stuck under the bottom of the boat. He was stuck under the boat for about three days before someone noticed him. ՉWhere did you come from little guy?Չ Asked the Speedboat owner. Seasons was hoping that the owner of the boat would set him back into the water. The speedboat owner decided that he did not want him, so he tossed him back into the water.
Seasons was so very happy that he was back in the water. He was having a good time looking at the stars and was thinking about the man that put him back into the water. ՉI wonder what would have happened to me if the man decided to keep me?Չ Seasons thought. He was curious to know if the man was wondering about him too. He dropped the subject and continued to look at the stars.
Seasons journey sadly came to an end in Lake Erie. It ended when he spotted some driftwood in the distance and decided to go near it. He had wanted a break from floating just for a little while. He got caught underneath the driftwood so unless someone lifted it up you could not see him. He sadly went into a sawmill and was never seen again. That was the story of the canoe named Seasons.
