Flow River Flow
I hope my canoe makes it to the Hudson Bay. I hope it sees beavers, and turtles. I hope my canoe meets new people. Along the way, my canoeՉs journey will be helped by the people it meets.
Once there was a canoe named Flow. Flow was thrown into the Turtle River by a 5th grader. After a few days of floating down the river there was a huge thunderstorm. A tree tipped over the river and blocked the flow of the river. The only way to get out of the blockage is to go under water.
Three days later there happened to be some beavers that came into the river. The beavers chewed through the tree, and along with the beavers there were other animals like, turtles and otters. One of the turtles carried Flow with its tail all the way to their home.
After the turtles got to their home, they laid eggs. The turtles left Flow there all alone, eventually Flow was washed back into the river.
Flow was long gone from Turtle River. It had been a few months now, and FlowՉs journey started to calm down. Then the river started to have a small flood. Flow was washed into a farmerՉs field.
The next morning the farmer went to see if his field got flooded. On his way walking down the field he saw Flow. ՉWow!Չ Said the farmer. ՉIsn't it glorious!Չ He exclaimed. The farmer drove into town and brought Flow to their town museum.
ՉIsn't that cool!Չ Exclaim a museum employee.
ՉI know rightՉ, he farmer replied.
ՉWe will keep it right here in this glass caseՉ, said the museum employee.
Flow became very popular to the town. Flow also became very legendary. About 17 years later a guy came to see flow. He saw all the details and pictures in the display case. It said to throw it right back in the water, so he broke the glass case and brought Flow all the way to Lake Winnipeg. He threw Flow back into the water.
Flow has had a long journey. Flow finally got to its destination at the Hudson Bay. Flow was found and put back in the water by a little boy. Flow has been floating around in the Hudson Bay ever since.
