Northern to the Sea
IՉm going down the Sandhill
Not near a river with a sawmill
I go under some bridges with many cars
I gaze at the nightՉs moon and stars
Now I am in the Red
Floating without a dread
The splashing of rain
Makes all the frogs go insane
IՉm in a pond with beavers here and there
And with frogs everywhere
The beaver slaps his tail and disappears
The beaver swims away in fear
Fore he knows a coyote is near
The coyote canՉt eat me so I donՉt fear
Now Grand Forks is straight ahead
There arenՉt too many cars cause everyone is in bed
The carՉs headlight
looks like stars at twilight
Now IՉm out of town
I was bounced around
Like a four square ball
It feels like I took a big fall
Here I am at the border
I feel a little out of order
I see a moose
And I see a goose
Two moose fight
While day becomes night
Together the antlers go snap
As a woodpecker taps
The wolves howl
And the wolverines go on their prowls
At last Lake Winnipeg
But, oh no! On the rocks I got snagged
On that rock IՉm thinking
How old am I and will I be sinking?
Finally a wave sets me free
IՉm back on my odyssey
IՉm almost to Hudson Bay
But a beaver dam is in my way
My journey has ended with a bam
Because of this stinking beaver dam
I am northern to the sea
This was a great journey for me
