Paddle to the Sea
As I start my journey to the sea
I see bass swimming all over me.
One even hopped out of the river.
And splashed some cool spring water.
I hope to see beautiful hummingbirds.
And a bunch of trees as humongous as 100 feet tall.
I hope to see a woodpecker cutting wood
like a lumberjack cutting down a tree with an ax.
I just saw a deer and a baby fawn walk across the dirty water.
Then on my way to Red River I saw a bear.
The bear was ready to bite right through me.
The stream had pushed me into the rapids.
I got scraped on the side and my paint had scraped off.
Finally things had calmed down.
As I was floating down the calm and cool river
I had not realized that I was going into the Red River headwaters
and I did not realize that it was turning into SUMMER!!!!!!!
As I was going through the Red River
I saw a beaver and its babies,
The mama was gnawing on wood.
As it was getting colder, it almost felt like someone had filled the river with ice.
It is autumn and animals are now hibernating.
And now I am flowing through the cold and frigid water.
And in the frigid, cold water I have made it to the sea.
I am paddle to the sea.
