Paddle starts her journey at the Red Lake River. She was on a River and on her way to Lake Superior. On the way she gets stuck on ice when the river froze. Out of nowhere an eagle swooped down and picked up Paddle. The eagle flew her into an eagleՉs nest. Inside the eagleՉs nest, baby chicks were chirping. One of them pecked at her. When night fell there was a bad thunderstorm. Paddle could see only a little of the crashing rain threw the mama eagleՉs thick wings. Just then lightning struck the tree and the mama eagle took off with Paddle and the chicks in her talons. The eagle nested in an oak tree near Lake Superior. The mama eagle flew out one day to hunt, with Paddle in her talons. Then, right when the eagle dived down to catch a fish, Paddle slipped from her talons. She was again on her way to Hudson Bay. Two years later Paddle came across a beaver dam. Just before she could hit it, a beaver scooped her up and put her on the top of the beaverՉs lodge. A day later a pack of wolves attacked the lodge, trying to break it. Then a paw hit Paddle and she flew into the water. A year later Paddle was almost at the edge of Hudson Bay. Along the way she met many different animals: whales, sharks, many types of fish, sea turtles and some pollution. Paddle was at the end of her journey at the end of Hudson Bay. Her adventurous encounters were scary but she was brave, she was confident, she was Paddle to the sea.
