I am on my way to Hudson Bay.
I journey down the Sandhill River,
and encountered many obstacles such as a beaver.
The beaver mistakes me for a branch
and takes me to be a part of his beaver dam.
I hear thunder in the distance, a storm is coming.
The wind starts blowing, the rain starts pouring,
and the water rises.
In a flash I was free from the beaver dam.
I shot down the river like a bolt of lightning.
Before I knew what happened I was in Beltrami,
I felt as free as a bird gliding through the sky.
I continue gliding down the river feeling
excited and terrified at the same time.
I spot many different kinds of fish
swimming below me.
I see bear, moose, geese, ducks,
deer, and a pack of wolves.
It took many days,
but I finally reached the outlet
to the Red River in Climax.
The current was so fast, I could barely see what was in front of me. The water was splashing so hard I almost flipped over.
I float past many towns and beautiful landscapes.
It was a long journey but,
I finally reached my destination of Hudson Bay.
