Whoosh! Black Mamba was being carried with the rapid moving current of the spring breakup. Black Mamba is a little wooden canoe made by a little boy living in Valley City The boy made it in the winter months and set it on the Sheyenne River, hoping that when spring came the current would take him downstream. Now Black Mamba was racing downstream the Sheyenne River. The little canoe was being pitched back and forth in the brown water. His goal was to make it to the Red River, up to Lake Winnipeg, and on the the Hudson Bay. Black Mamba had seen lots of animals such as deer, geese, and beavers. Black Mamba had gotten stuck in a beaver lodge a while back and would have stayed there until a friendly man named Bobby came along and found him. Bobby brought Black Mamba home and repainted him. Bobby kept Black Mamba in his shed until fall, and then brought him all the way to the Canadian border. He took him out of the car and chucked Black Mamba into the Red River and rode off into the sunset. Black Mamba would like to see many different animals and meet many different people. The goal is to have him make it to the Hudson Bay. Please put Black Mamba in the water if you find him. And put his location on the website. Thank you
