My canoe Shawty lil hockey player will make it all the way to Hudson bay. ItՉs journey will start the day I launch it on the red river. It will have a calm start to itՉs journey slowly going along the river with blue jays chirping at it from up in their nest. Then up ahead Shawty sees a small waterfall as she is going down she sees a beaver building a dam. Hopefully she doesnՉt get stuck in it the kind beaver sees her but then ignores her as if she was never there then Shawty finds a tiny passage and slips through the dam. Up ahead shawty can see grand forks there are kids playing around the river as she gets closer. As she leaves grand forks she sees farmers who have all shorts of different pretty colored and patterned horses and cows standing in a field by sugar beets. She keeps going up the river. Soon she was in Walsh county then it started getting cold and the next thing she knew she was frozen in the ice she was waiting and couldnՉt get anywhere but she saw many wonders one day she saw a wolf prowling looking around for food a few day later she noticed that there was a bear hibernating in the cave near her . Then in the spring the ice melted and shawty was free to go she made her way up to Norman county there were robins flying all over and playing their pretty little tune then a sturgeon, catfish, and a northern pike joined her on the journey. Soon Shawty was in Winnipeg and all her fish friends had grown old and died. One day shawty got washed upon the banks things were looking down for Shawty but then she saw a strange man approaching he picked her up and brought her to his house he introduced himself as Dustin Byfuglien he played Defence for the Winnipeg Jets NHL ice hockey team he repainted her with all sorts of Jets logos Shawty liked her new fit. Then Dustin put her back in the river and waved bye. Soon shawty made it all the way to Hudson bay she had accomplished her dream she washed up on a nice beach in churchill there were chokecherry trees and oak trees all around her every once in a while she would see a polar bear or beluga whale and she was happy.
