My canoeՉs name is Sallie. I have many hopes and dreams for my canoe once I launch it. I hope my canoe will someday reach Hudson Bay. My canoe will be launched in late May of 2021. My canoe will start its journey in Fargo, North Dakota in Cass county. Quickly after the launch, my canoe will be joined by a school of channel catfish, walleye and even lake sturgeon. Next, my canoe will make its way to Grand Forks, North Dakota. There, it will spot spring wheat fields where elegant white tail deer prance around. After my canoeՉs journey through Grand Forks, it will be on its way to Kittson. When my canoe makes it into Kittson, it will be joined by a magnificent bald eagle. Together they will travel through the Canadian border. Next my canoe will slowly make its way to Winnipeg. On itՉs way, it will spot chokecherry trees and maple leaf trees. One night my canoe will hear the slightest sound of an owl hooting, but Sallie isnՉt scared. The next morning, the summer sun will be brightly shining down on my canoe, but her journey is long from over. Months pass before my canoe feels the cool breeze of winter. Snow will soon be falling and Sallie is passing through the Nelson river, waiting to see the entrance of Hudson Bay. A week later and Sallie is approaching the entrance of Hudson Bay. Slowly but surely Sallie makes it into Hudson Bay. There Sallie spots polar bears, arctic foxes, tundra swans, and caribou. Sallie has an exciting adventure, but it comes to an end when a polar bear tears her apart.
