Hi, my name is Perrita, and I have a wish for my canoe’s journey. My journey starts like this…First, I was put into the Goose River in Mayville, ND. On my way to the Red River, I met another canoe who said their name was Gata. She asked me to be best friends and I said yes. On our journey, we met beavers, moose, elk, and eagles. Then we both got stuck on a log and rode it to the Nelson River. One day a little girl saw Gata, picked her up, and walked away. She didn't see me, and I couldn't catch up to them. I was really sad. I traveled for a long time, and then I finally made it to the Atlantic Ocean. Then I saw a figure that looked like a canoe…could it be.. it could! It was Gata! I was so happy. Then we saw fins, then a head popped up. I thought we were done for, but no it was dolphins! One of the dolphins scooped us up on its head and rode off into the sunset.
