I am going to set my canoe in the waters of the Red River in Grand Forks, North Dakota. It will flow north into Lake Winnipeg and it will see fish such as walleye and carp. My canoe will see commercial and recreational fishermen and people enjoying the water in Lake Winnipeg. My canoe will then leave Lake Winnipeg and make its way to Hudson Bay. While in Hudson Bay, my canoe will have to be careful because there will be large cargo ships carrying crates of cargo that are delivered by ships to places around the world. My canoe might see historical landmarks since Hudson Bay is named for Henry Hudson who explored the Hudson for the Dutch East India company. My canoe will travel east in the Hudson Bay where it connects to Hudson Straight. My canoe will have to avoid ice chunks and ships galore in the Hudson Strait. Another thing to watch out for is large fish such as whales! From the Hudson Straight my canoe will reach its final destination in the Atlantic Ocean. In the Atlantic Ocean, my canoe will be able to explore different islands such as Porto Santo Island and Fernando De Noronha. My canoe will meet different people and learn about their different cultures. My canoe will see people snorkeling, fishing and swimming. My canoe would not be able to dive into the water but in shallow places my canoe will see many different species of fish such as Herring, Salmon and maybe even sharks! There will also be vegetation such as algae and other plants that grow under water in the ocean that the fish use for food.
