My canoe's name is Chorizema. I named it that after a flower that grows in Australia. My dream is that my canoe makes it to Australia. I will let it go in the Red River where I live in Grand Forks, ND. I know Australia is over 9,000 miles away, but I still hope it makes it. Once I put it in the water it will start traveling north up to Canada. It will go past lake Winnipeg and will encounter many dangers. It will make it up to the Hudson Bay, and pass many fish and wildlife. It will see ships and people. Once it makes it out of the Hudson Bay, it will see Greenland (Denmark). It will be trapped by icy waves and tossed and turned around. It will catch a current and make it past England. It will see big ships and people riding in them. It will slowly start to make it down towards Africa and feel the heat of the summer wind off the equator. It will take a turn and land on AustraliaՉs shore. Someone will find it and fix it up and send it back on its journey.
It will also pass AustraliaՉs fires and see a Chorizema flower. This is my dream. I hope it has a wild adventure.
