On a sunny morning,Gary, in his canoe at the icelandic state park was going to set on his journey on the tongue river.then the first thing he saw on the way to Akra was a forest of green ash and some burook in there too. Gary is just getting to cavalier and he saw some more burook with some yellow perch scattered around the river. After that he saw some nice houses in the area around Cavalier and there were some leopard frogs hopping around and swimming in the river. He just made it to the Pembina river! And once he was on the river he saw Pembina. It was the first time he was in Pembina. He was so excited that he made it this far.On his way to Walhalla he saw some mosses on the elder trees in the forest. Gary saw a lot of orange spotted sunfish on his way to Neche and he saw some beavers building a dam in the river and couldnՉ€™t make it over until a beaver picked him up and thought he was a stick to he put him in th dam then the dam broke because the current got stronger and carried him out of Neche to lake Winnipeg. Lake Winnipeg was full of different fish but the one that caught my eye was a 32inch walleye. It was really cool to experiants a fish that is bigger than my canoe.Once I got over that walleye I saw a juneberry tree along with some chokecherry bushes too. I just made it to the town of Gimli. That's when I saw my first tiny shrew in a bush. It was just popping his head out a little bit, then it fully came out. That's when I looked around the corner and saw the Nelson river. The Nelson river wasnՉ€™t much but it means we are so close to the ocean. First, I have to make it past this river, HudsonՉ€™s Bay, and to the Atlantic Ocean. I saw a smooth soft shell turtle just glided under me, I also saw a couple of spruce trees and forbs on the way to HudsonՉ€™s Bay. When I was at HudsonՉ€™s Bay I got to see a lot of polar bears, arctic terns, and an arctic fox. Then I saw this plant called a lichen, sedges, and some more mosses. And the artic terns flew over the horizon.
