One windy morning during the last week of school Smalls and his class were at the source of the Tongue River for a school field trip. Smalls was wearing a brown leather sack with a canoe that had lightning bolts on it his name was Thunderbolt the Brave. He had a mission he was going to make it to the ocean one day and he was going to. As Smalls threw his canoe in the water the little canoe flew down the Tongue River past Akra to Lake Renwick. There Thunderbolt went threw the tall cattails into a beautiful Aspen Forest. There he watched Red Foxes play while the Chubb Minnows swam away there the Pussy Willows lined the river in beauty. As he went past Cavalier he could hear a Red Tailed Hawk mom go back to her nest to feed her babies. There he passed Bathgate and is now in the Pembina River.
As Thunderbolt went into the Pembina River a storm had hit Thunderbolt was tossed and turned as it went on. Once it cooled down Thunderbolt was found stuck on a tree trunk he was in the middle of nowhere. Then out of nowhere a beaver swam up beside him and started haking at the tree he was stuck on. Thunderbolt went down the river and into the town of Pembina. There he saw berry bushes and an Oak forest then out of nowhere a Bald Eagle swooped down and grabbed Thunderbolt out of the water and dropped him in the Red River.
From there he saw a flock of Geese go right over him as he passed the Canadian border. As Thunderbolt sailed down the Red he saw a couple of Catfish as he passed Emerson into lake Winnipeg. There he could hear the cars from Winnipeg as he went into the Nelson River.
By now it was late fall and the leaves were falling off the trees. It was pitch black out all Thunderbolt could hear was a Screech Owl in the distance. Thunderbolt had been somewhere in a Taiga forest. As it became light out Thunderbolt could hear and see some Western Chorus Frogs. That's when Thunderbolt saw a big opening, that's when he knew he had reached Hudson's Bay.
Hudson's Bay was huge he could see all types of fish. As he went down Hudson's Bay he got stuck on a tree the tree was covered in moss. As he got unstuck he saw a lot of fisherman boats. A couple of months later as he was just minding his own business and he ended up on a dock he had no clue where he was but he new he wasn't in HudsonՉs Bay anymore that means he had made it to the ocean that was his one goal in life and he had accomplished it.
