Chapter one my adventure begins. When I woke up I realized that I was no longer in the craft room where I was born. I was in her hands and before I knew it I was flying through the air. I landed in the water with a splash and it was freezing cold. My journey had just begun
when I realized I was in the Tongue River. The only place I wish to get to is the Atlantic Ocean.
Chapter two silly and naughty. I was in Cavalier and was doing just fine until a fathead minnow nudged me and it tipped me right over. I was so angry I wished I could do the same thing back at it but I got distracted by a riverbank grape. When I turned back to look at the river the fathead minnow was gone. I was peacefully floating down the river and I realized I was in Bathgate when I saw a pack of coyotes run right past an American elm but one of the coyotes ran into the tree I laughed and continued my journey down the river until I realized that I was at the mouth of the Tongue River and at the source of the Pembina River.
Chapter three the nut. The Pembina River is a very peaceful place and it is obviously in Pembina. I figured it out because of the name of the river. At first I didn't see as many animals as I did on the Tongue River. I was just floating when I saw a fox squirrel climbing a cottonwood tree trying to get a nut but then all of the sudden a rat just bolted up the cottonwood and also tried to grab the nut but the fox squirrel got it. The rat tried so hard to grab it but then the unexpected happened. They had fallen from the tree and were wrestling like brother and sister over a toy. The fox squirrel was running away while the rat was biting at the squirrel's tail It was crazy to watch but then the minute I turned around and then looked back the fox squirrel had jumped into an American cranberry bush and had disappeared.
Chapter four Red River. I thought I was gonna go crazy with all the animal encounters and that's when I realized I was in Emerson. I thought I was in the clear from the animals but soon I found out that I was wrong . The beaver was nudging me so hard and it didn't even realize that it was pushing me into its dam. I politely asked it to move me so I could continue on with my journey to the Atlantic Ocean. When It moved me back to the water I knew I was no longer in the Pembina River I was in the Red River. It is so beautiful with all of the juneberry bushes and all of the bur oak trees. I love it here and I want to stay in this river. I really thought that I was going to have a good time here until a whole pack of freshwater drums started surrounding me. I started to panic. They pushed me upstream somehow and they were gnawing at my canoe. I got so mad and tried to wiggle out of there but I couldn't. Then they finally let go of me and I was so happy I knew my journey on the Red River was just about to be over because I saw the mouth of the river but I really didn't care because the only animal on this river that was nice to me was that beaver.
Chapter five good fish and bad fish. I realized that I was no longer in a river because the area I was in was big and there was lots of water around me. I was in Lake Winnipeg. I love how calm it is here. I haven't been this comfy since that beaver let me chill in his dam for a little bit. I was so comfortable until a big mouth buffalo started to bite my boat. I was so mad but before I got the chance to yell at it I was completely underwater and there was so much seaweed. When I say there was a lot I mean A LOT. My body started to rub on it and I was so disgusted. I almost puked. I was so mad at that big mouth buffalo I would punch it. I was so mad at the fish but then he swam away right before I could try to attack. I had been looking and thinking about the big mouth buffalo when I saw an aspen tree. It was so beautiful with its branches swaying back and forth and the sound it made was yum scrumdiddlyumptious. I could sit there forever and listen to the trees swaying back and forth. But like always something had to interrupt my peaceful moment but he didnt do anything he just sat there with me. He was really pretty and I liked his color pattern. I'm guessing we sat there for about half an hour before all the aspen trees were out of sight and so was the fish. I loved that fish. I liked him because he was nicer than the other fish that I met. Everything that was here was very beautiful. All the aspen trees and the woodbines the nice fish. Sadly my time in Lake Winnipeg was over and I was entering the Nelson River.
Chapter six garbage monster. The Nelson River was an interesting place to be with all of the activity. If anything was gonna pop up behind me I was gonna be ready to strike back. I was wrong. A STUPID RACCOON JUMPED IN THE WATER GRABBED ME AND PULLED ME OUT OF THE WATER I was furious because after that IT STARTED TO NIBBLE ON ME I was just about ready to attack when it dropped me and it ran away. I was stuck stranded on the land with no one to help me continue with my journey to the Atlantic Ocean. When I thought all hope was lost the heavens answered my prayers and it rained I was so happy because the rain gave me a little water path so that I could float down into the Nelson River and I could continue my journey. I was ready to make my dream come true and the channel catfish right next to me wanted me to make it as well.
Chapter seven good boy brown. Immediately realized something different about the water here. It was much saltier than the other rivers I've been in. Then It hit me. I was in Hudson Bay. I couldn't imagine what kind of animals I would meet here. I just hope they are nice. I think the ocean sent me a little message when an otter came up to me and started nudging at me. It thought it was going to eat me. I was wrong. He pushed me towards a rock and by now it's got to be around 900 pm. So he pushed me toward a rock and we sat there and looked at each other and then we looked up at the stars and we just sat there. It was such a beautiful night and I haven't done this since I was in the Pembina River. I fell asleep there and when I woke up the otter was gone and I was left sitting there alone.
Chapter eight the humans. I woke up not on the rock that the otter had left me on I was on a boat. There was a dad and his daughter. The dad was fishing and the girl was playing with a doll with blond hair and blue eyes. I knew I was still in Hudson Bay but I didn't know there were people here. When the little girl saw me she came running towards me so she could play with me. She dropped her doll and was getting closer. She picked me up and started to play with me. I didn't care as long as she was gentle and kind. I let her play with me. We were playing for a while until her dad came and asked what she had found. She said that she found me on his work bench and liked it so she picked it up. The dad saw some writing on it and he asked to see it. The boat said Please put me back in the water so I can continue on my journey. The daughter couldn't read so she didn't know that. The dad read a little bit more. It said Track my data on a website displayed on the top of the boat. The dad put where he found me on the website and then told his daughter that they need to put it back in the water so it can continue its journey. The daughter was very sad and did not want to let me go but the dad insisted. So they counted down from three then let me go. 32.1 Go Then I was flying through the air and landed back in the water with a splash As I floated away I could see the little girl crying but I knew that she would be okay
Chapter nine I made it It took a long time but after all this time I finally made it to the Atlantic Ocean I was so happy that I made my one and only goal. I made it
