I am The Cowboy. It sounds crazy but I am waiting to be launched in the Tongue River and trying to make it to the Atlantic Ocean. This isnt something that happens everyday but I am made to be at the Atlantic Ocean. I see boxelder trees and aspen trees in the nice cool spring weather. What is happening I'm in the air and splashing. There I am in the Tongue River Now as I float down the river I see beavers building a dam. It feels strange but somehow Im just sitting there in the Tongue River. Now its night Im trying to go to sleep but it looks like no it isnt bats I did not get to sleep at night at all because of all those bats man they really bug people.
In the Pembina River the juneberry trees look nice. Ploop oh a juneberry fell in my canoe. The juneberry berry looked nice sweet and delicious. Another very sweet treat I saw was a grape tree. There are these amazing little purple fruits that grow on trees. While I was slowly drifting on the Pembina River I saw some Wild Turkey on the bank. After that I felt a bump under me and I looked and it was a group of River Otters caring for me I was zooming through the Pembina River until I was not in Pembina.
Part of the Red river is in Winnipeg. I saw people fishing by the river bank. They caught some Rainbow Trout but then no no The men pulled me out of the water I was put in this nice warm cabin with a lovely fire while the men cooked their Rainbow Trout. They talked about what they should do with me. As soon as they got done with posting the information on the website I got put back in the water. I was drifting again in the Red River. There were Bittersweet trees with little orange specks on them. At night you could barely see the white Quaking Aspen trees. There were Blue Jay feeding their babies before they went to sleep. I was still in the Red River just waiting to see what river or lake I would end up in next and thats when I saw this sign in the dark I could barely see it but it said.
Welcome to lake Winnipeg I was in Lake Winnipeg I had always wondered if cottonwood trees actually had cotton they sort of did. There was a song bird singing on the sign that said Welcome to Lake Winnipeg it was like a welcoming committee but with only one song bird and not people but still their singing was lovely. While I was drifting in the lake there was a person of course fishing again just like the last two men but they didnt catch anything but they did the same the two fishers did they took me out of the water In the house they put me in there were two boys around 4 to 5 years old playing with these little cars. When they were done filling out all the information on the website they put me back in the water and I saw this glow and it looked like a raccoon. And then I saw a sign that said Nelson River.
When I got to the Nelson River I saw these little balls covered with these little shields covering them. They looked like bur oak trees. The Brown Trout under me looked very suspicious and strange but they were normal Brown Trout swimming in the lake. There were more people but they didnt take me out of the water but one of them was daring the other to eat a chokecherry with no reaction and I know this is hard because before the person I had been launched by that person ate a chokecherry and told his friend It sucks all the moisture out of your mouth well the girl reacted and lost the dare and I was still drifting until
I was in the Hudson Bay I saw little yellow Arctic Poppy flowers and oh man there was a seal a seal This will probably be the best stop I have while I am on this journey. There were these long plants I think people call them cotton grass because they looked like the cottonwood trees I saw in Lake Winnipeg but grass instead of trees. While I am in the Hudson Bay I want to make the most of my time and see everything and somehow these people took me out of the water and decided to drive me around in their car When they finished filling out all the information on the website they put me back in the water so I could finish my journey to the Atlantic Ocean. The Caribou on the side of the bay were running and I was floating with them until
Finally I made it to the Atlantic Ocean. A beluga whale welcomed me by going under me and spouting out the water making it seem like I was flying. There was a boat that had people and a walrus on the boat. There was lichen on the trees and purple saxifrage. The last person picked me up and took me out of the water. I felt good. They filled out the information and there I was in the Atlantic Ocean. I had done it hoping the person who launched me would be proud. I paddled to the sea
