Hi my name is Drake and I am on a mission to go to Hudson Bay and beyond. I was launched in the Tongue River. As I was flowing in the river minding my own business I saw a beaver chopping on a boxelder tree. I never knew how strong beaver teeth are. After a little bit I saw the biggest aspen I have ever seen and the only aspen I ever saw. Right by it an otter was curled up against the bank. Then all of a sudden I heard screaming and cars I knew immediately it must have been a Cavalier. It was cool. I saw a couple of fishermen and even I saw one with a fish but sadly I drifted away from the Cavalier. Hello it's me again. I was taking a very nice long nap when I woke up and I was in the Pembina River. The current was faster and stronger than a big northern one just jumping out of the water almost as high as a bur oak tree. It was chasing a creek chub after the creek chub got spooked it jumped over me and got me wet.I lost control and I drifted into a fallen over willow. I got stuck and couldnt get out. I wiggled and jiggled but nothing worked. At last I was a free boy. Oh boy was that a long day maybe I should get some rest. Good morning that night was crazy. I was rocking back and forth but at least I am in the Red River. I think a couple days ago there was a big storm. Luckily the storm was before I was launched. as I was flowing for a little bit I saw a fat carp washed up on shore I think it had babies but I don't know. There was a big green ash tree laying across the river. It was from bank to bank and just a little bit later a short nose gar came up behind me and pushed. I felt like I was a race car just like lightning McQueen. As I was zoomin under a canopy the bank kinda looked like a racing finish line. After that race I was rewarded with a medal for winning the race. The race was called kachow and I was racing against some of my friends that were named Buck launched on the same river the same day. When I was racing one of them flipped and we never saw him again. I never knew it but I was racing through Emerson. When I woke up I saw a big lake. Somebody told me that it was Lake Winnipeg then all of a sudden a big boat that was way bigger than mine almost hit me. The wake hit me insted and a fathead minnow jumped with me out of the water. Then a crawfish clacked on to me and it really hurt. Then another boat passed me and threw june berries and little saplings at me and got me all sticky. All of the bees and flies started swarming me like I was their hive or something like that. Another day but we are getting closer and closer. I could tell because the water is getting colder and colder. Out of the corner of my eye I saw a raccoon hiding in the forbes then got attacked by a bald eagle. The bald eagle brought the raccoon to the sky and then dropped it about 10000 feet up in the air and had a very nice dinner. Now we are on the Nelson River yay one more to go. It got very windy and an iron wood tree fell in the water and made a big splash and then got me all wet and moist. Finally I have made it to my final destination. There were Arctic poppies and shrub willow everywhere. A beluga whale was playing with seals. And a polar bear was eating on a seal . The water was even colder than in the Nelson River. It had to be in the minus zero. At last I have completed my mission. I started at the Tongue River and now I am in Hudson Bay. The journey was long with a lot of naps. I finally made it and maybe I will get to the Atlantic Ocean but only me and Hudson Bay will know. And I hope some of my friends can make it to the Atlantic Ocean too.
