MY canoes name is Jimmy. Along the way I hope it will see many diverse sightings.When I launch the canoe from the Red River in Fargo in May of 2024 in Clay County I hope it sees some rodents like rats and rabbits. Later on when it passes by Grand Forks and East Grand Forks it will have probably seen some fish species like carp and northern pike. Later on when it makes its way through Walsh County I hope it will pass by a small spring where there will be many animals like beavers white tail deer and walsh and there will be diverse plants like Maple trees and sugar beets. After winter it will make it to the border and leave Kittson Minnesota and then enter Manitoba Canada. By the next spring it will make it to the city of Winnipeg. Then in the next six weeks it will make its way to the middle of lake Winnipeg and when in Winnipeg it will see willow trees. In the fall I hope it will make it to about the 34 way point to Hudson Bay and see hawks fly over it while crossing through the Nelson River. Eventually it will come across a large widening of the river and on its way through it will see a raven's nest in a nearby tree as lynx slowly prowl out of their borrow. Within the next six weeks it will be a mostly quiet area where there are few animals other than fish in the water and then it will make its final stop in the Hudson Bay before setting out to the ocean.
