My canoes name is Raul The Rat. I have many hopes and dreams for my canoe once I launch it. I hope it will someday reach Antarctica by the way of hudson bay. When I launch Raul The Rat from Fargo I hope it will enjoy its long treacherous journey to the sea starting in May 2024. Hopefully it can travel along the rough seas of the Atlantic Ocean. My canoe will be sniffed by a nutria and then cross into Norman County. My canoe will also see a beautiful Dwarf birch tree. Along the way I hope my canoe gets bit by a duck and sees some soybean fields. My canoe will pass through Grand Forks and get stuck on a Baculite Fossil. Two weeks later I will see a southern redbacked vole and stay in Walsh County for the winter. After a long boring winter my canoe will be set free from the ice of its demise. Next I hope my canoe sees some pheasants and their little babies in the spring. Once I cross the border into cold Canada I will soon be in the town of Emerson Manitoba. By the next spring I will see a goldeye walleye on the shore of the river laid by a fisherman to die. I also hope I see a shrew on a nearby farm. Six months later I will see a beautiful Manitoba maple tree. I will probably see some rats along the way Because my canoe has rats on it. In the fall I hope I will reach Winnipeg. Two weeks later my canoe will be stuck in ice for the winter. When my canoe is freed in the ice I hope It rams into a basswood tree. Soon I hope an eagle will fly overhead and poop on it. In the spring I hope I see a caribou grazing in a field. In the fall A northern pike will swoop out of the water and swallow my canoe. I hope the giant Northern pike will puke up my canoe. After all the struggles my canoe will be free and continue on its journey through Hudson Bay and the deadly seas.
