My canoes name is Remy the Ratatouille. I have many hopes and dreams for my canoe once I launch it. I hope it will someday reach Paris France through Hudson Bay. When I launch Remy the Ratatouille into the Red River from Fargo I hope it will enjoy sailing in the brisk spring rain in May of 2024. At the start of its adventure it will go under a bridge and pick up pace and Remy will be second in the lead but eventually will relax being second still as the other boats have slowed down as well. Remy the Ratatouille will be incredibly bored going through Fargo but will find some bass. Remy startled the bass but they realized he cannot do anything to them so they stayed following Remy for a while until a turtle came resulting in the bass swimming away quickly to not get in the turtles view. Remy was a bit mad but he realized that turtles are far better company than bass even though Remy cant speak and animals cannot speak Remy felt like they had had a delightful conversation and were good friends but Remy knew that he would have to leave the turtle to continue his adventure to Paris. He will leave Cass county and the turtle had left him to return back to Fargo. There will be silence peaceful silence the rushing water the leaves blowing the heavy rain falling. Remy will be calm he will like it but will want to see something anything besides water and land. He will have a slight thought in the back of his brain that he may never find Paris at all. When his mind retains itself and he relaxes he will find catfish all around him. Remy will have always thought catfish were part cat but he will be shocked when he saw they had whiskers but were not cats only fish. Remy will be exhilarated by the thought that he has made it to Grand Forks and Grand Forks County. He will see the city but also spot corn. An eagle will come soaring Remy will be amazed at Americas national bird the eagle. The eagle dove down flying up with a snake in its beak. He will be relieved he would not have to deal with a snake. Remy came across a choke cherry tree the cherries falling on Remy submerging him under the water. He saw many things while under the water like deer drinking from the river ducks swimming on top peacefully and the Maple trees leaning over the river. Remy came across the border dreading every second of it. He will be so grateful that the chokecherries have dropped him under the water otherwise he may have never gotten to Canada or France. Remy squeezed under the border through the sand resulting in the chokecherries to have come off floating him back to the surface. Remy will be so relieved to have gotten into Canada safely he will have always wondered what Canada would be like. On the way to Winnipeg where he would rest he found some walleye far behind him. Remy will have heard how great walleye is but still would have great respect for the kind. Remy will be greatly tired but he will keep the thought of resting in Winnipeg amongst his thoughts. A young caribou was vicariously following the river looking and wondering. It saw Remy and picked him up carrying him to a spot near Winnipeg. Remy will be quite grateful as he would have wanted to meet a caribou and the caribou will save a long distance for him. Remy finally will arrive in Winnipeg where he will enter Lake Winnipeg. Coming across two men fishing while talking amongst themselves J'espre que nous en attraperons un. one will say to the other jokingly. N'estce pas La dernire fois ctait un chec total. Remy would not make out a word they might say he would not know people in Canada spoke French. However Remy will learn a lot of French on his journey from people as he hears them more and more. Remy would finish resting in Winnipeg not expecting much but spotting a fox scurry across the side of the river. Remy would be extremely bored going to Hudson Bay only learning a few words here and there like franaisfranaise meaning French and mer meaning sea. Remy would be proud to understand some French and other people better than when he first entered Canada. Remy will finally enter the great Hudson Bay turning northeast to enter out toward Europe. Remy will have no idea that traveling across the Atlantic would be the most boring part of his journey. He finally will get to Europe swerving down toward The United Kingdom coming into the Docks of France. All the boats lined up some leaving some entering some docked but it will be a slow process. Eventually a dog will pick up Remy running to its owner who will put it down into their car. Driving home to Paris with a person who loves boats. Remy will then accept his little windowsill view over Paris accomplishing his goal.
