My canoe will hopefully travel all the way to the ocean! It might meet deer, moose, beaver, and many more! It will be a rough journey through Grand Forks and Winnipeg. My canoe will go through hard obstacles and easy ones, but it will hopefully survive them. It will see many amazing things and some cool people! My canoe was released at Kindred North Dakota and will hopefully travel far!
This canoe really only started in a classroom. It was being painted with bright colors to represent its owner. One day it had learned it was going to be released! Little Paddle to the sea was quite nervous! Soon they got to the river! Paddle was nervous, she had never left her owner before, but she was ready for the journey! Paddle said goodbye and then was thrown in the air to the water! The water felt amazing while Paddle rushed out of site. Paddle saw many creatures while floating down the river. Paddle loved to meet new friends. She decided to go to the bank to meet new friends, but she couldnՉt get up the bank. Paddle decided to find friends in the water. Soon she found a duck and her ducklings heading the same way as she was! Paddle and the ducks traveled quite far! They actually made it to Winnipeg! It only took about two weeks! I know pretty far, but when there are strong currents, you can get far! When they got to Winnipeg, they decided to sleep the night. In the morning, they were off, but they ran into trouble. There was a beaver dam! There were so much sticks and leaves. Paddle was devasted, she wanted to make it to the sea. Luckily a kind man picked them up! He recorded Paddle and set them down gently on the other side. Paddle and the ducks were off again! They were so close they could just smell the ocean! In the last couple miles, by Hudson Bay, the duck told Paddle they would go a different route at the end. Paddle was sad, but she understood. The last mile was a sad mile, Paddle and the ducks cried a lot, but they knew they would never forget each other. Hey said their goodbyes and Paddle was off to the ocean. Not only 20 minutes later she made it! She had finally made it to the ocean! Her adventure changed her life!
