Paddle
I am thrown into the Sandhill River
Like an eagle diving into water
I see the grass getting green
As I am floating down the stream
Now I am in Beltrami; I see lots of birds
Whoosh! goes a fish; it spins me around
Then it takes me to the ground
I see a bird diving at me
Now it picks me up
drops me back in the river
ItՉs so dark right now
Starting to see some light
In the middle of the night
That light is Climax
Now I am in Grand Forks
I see a little fish, it is my friend
The leaves are starting to turn
I should really hurry
Before I see a flurry
I see lots of deer
They make me fill with cheer
Big and small
Big antlers, no antlers
I hear a loud bang
Then they start to run
Now I have no fun
I see a big Lake
That lake is Lake Winnipeg
IՉm going to Nelson River
ItՉs really getting chilly
Oh no! Now a fish is eating me
it should really let me be
Now it spits me out
The lake is starting to freeze
I am frozen in the ice
I cannot feel a breeze
My fish friend is following me
ItՉs a very long time
Ice is starting to thaw
CRACK! CRACK!
Goes the ice
I am out of the ice now
IՉm in Hudson Bay
I watch the animals
I see a man
With a frying pan
In his house
Out flies a grouse
I see two animals
Those animals are polar bears
Polar bears are fighting
My journey is coming to an end
I see my little friend
Then I reach the Atlantic Ocean
My journey has ended
