Paddle to the SeaՉs Journey
I am Paddle to the sea and this is my journey
I begin in the Sandhill River.
The water below is so cool
like IՉm jumping into a pool
during a hot summer day.
Uh oh! Some big rapids are coming up.
Rapids as big as a house.
Now IՉm going through Beltrami
smelling the scent of flowers.
Wow! Now IՉm in the middle of a field
a million different sunflowers waving in the wind.
I finally reach the Red River
a monster buck weighing a ton.
SLAM! I roll over like crazy.
Fish jump out of the water and hit me.
The birds are singing little tunes back and forth.
I see two does and a baby fawn.
On the other side I see a bear.
I reach Grand Forks with much care.
When I get out
I see a lady slipper and a big bass under the water.
The water is getting colder, leaves are falling, animals are hibernating.
I reach Lake Winnipeg and I get stuck and freeze for the winter.
IՉm two years old now and have had an amazing journey so far.
When the ice starts to melt I get picked up and chucked back into the river
Now IՉm going down the Nelson River
and out of nowhere a bird lands on me.
I see a bunch of fish jumping to catch bugs.
I have finally reached Hudson Bay.
